Medicine Bow Nordic Ski Patrol
Patrol Log: Saturday, February 22, 2003:  M. Hotchkiss
I helped Frank with the Avalanche I class this Saturday and while I didn't 
dig a pit myself (Neal and Bill were doing pits and I was helping with 
beacons) here are the ~ conditions.

Location:  South of Libby Creek Trail Snow Stake
Snow Stake Depth: 31"
New Snow:  6-12" in places
Libby Creek Trail Condition:  Good
Avalanche Danger:  Rousche Block failed at new snow level before skier 
touched the block. (South facing slope ~ 35 degrees)
The depth hoar level was half of the snowpack with large angular crystals.
