Medicine Bow Nordic Ski Patrol
Patrol Log: Sunday, December 7, 2003: M. Allen
07 December 03, 09:00 - 13:30, Snowy Range. Skied the Potholes Route
from Green Rock to Brooklyn Lake and back. The sign-in board has been
removed from the Potholes Route; I don't know where it went or who
removed it. Also, there are 6 or more pieces of deadfall straddling the
trail. Most of them are small enough to be removed by a handsaw. There
are about 2 - 3 feet of snow at the higher elevations, giving reasonable
coverage with a fairly solid base. The main exceptions are in the open
parts of the Green Rock Connection. At 09:00 there were 8 vehicles in
the snowmobile-parking zone. There was 1 vehicle (ours) in skier
parking at Green Rock.
