Medicine Bow Nordic Ski Patrol
Patrol Log:  Saturday, January 7, 2006:  T. Sprague
I began my patrol day with a stop at the visitor's center and chatted with Allison for a while. She was just getting back from vacation so had no beta about the snow. When I got to Green Rock there was a truck/trailer setup already parked there. Another group asked if they could park there and I told them they could unload but not park for the day. There was another trailer parked there. The temperature was very warm. There was 40 inches of snow at the stick. I was unable to raise the CVC at the stick and as I went down Barber Lake trail there was a tree down at the juntion with Libby Creek trail. When I reached the top of the first climb on Libby Creek I was able to acheive commo with the CVC and made the report of snow measurment and the tree down on the trail. I then bushwacked to Swastika Lake and skied down the drainage back to Green Rock.
