Medicine Bow Nordic Ski Patrol
Patrol Log:  Saturday, April 8, 2006:  T. Sprague
On the 8th of April I started at Green Rock parking lot with informing a snowmachiner
that this parking lot is off limits to them and tickets are issued so he moved.
I then went to the stick which had 58 inches of snow. Since the visitor's center
is no longer manned I simply wrote it down. I then travelled to the Libby Creek
trail where at the left hand turn to go back to Barber Lake trail I observed two
snowmachines coming from the north but was unable to get any registraition numbers
for Curt. I then proceeded north along that drainage but missed Swasitka Lake
and it's drainage and ended up in the Sally creek drainage instead. The temperature
was very warm and with the hard wax on my skies was sticky. I then met Todd Thibodeux
at Green Rock parking area who had gone to Brooklyn lake, then up above the lost lakes
for some downhill runs. Snowmachine population seemed to be down as my car count sheet
reflects.
