On Sunday Jan. 3 patrollers received a request through the Albany County Sheriff's Search and Rescue (ACSSAR) alert system for possible assistance with evacuating an injured skier on Centennial Ridge. In addition to ACSSAR and Sheriff's Office personnel and local EMS services, Chris Laursen, and Charlie Magee (who were patrolling at Snowy Range Ski Area) and Yvette Widman and Bob Howell (from Laramie) responded to the staging area at the base of Centennial Ridge.
