12 Feb 2000, 8:30 am - 12:30 pm, Tie City. Provided patrol assistance for the MBNA Pole Mountain Shuffle Ski Race. Recent storms resulted in a new dusting of powder to finally cover the remaining rocks and stumps. Race consisted of a single lap 5km (actually around 6.5km) and two lap 10km (about 13km) event, as well as a 1km childrens' loop. A total of 42 skiers took part, no injuries reported. Weather was overcast with occasional light flurries, temperatures in the high 20's.
