Joe Pohl and Jerry Hamann patrolled at the Tie City / Happy Jack trails in conjuction with 
the UW Nordic Club Team "Cowboy Chase" first day of races.  Temperatures were 
hovering around 0F at start-of-race (10:00am).  

A total of 53 skiers started and finished, with 48 adults going 7.5 km freestyle
and 5 kids going 3km freestyle.  Race assistance was provided for
setting up the start area, grooming and setting the course and markings, assisting with
finish and bib recovery, then teardown of the course and start.  No injuries reported.
