On Sunday January 29th Chris Laursen and one other toured to the top of Centennial Ridge starting from the visitors center on WY130. At the top of the ridge they descended an east facing slope where upon they returned the way they went in. No others were seen during the tour, but recent tracks indicated activity from others while they were there. Snowpack on exposed slopes displayed extremely variable, wind scoured conditions both on the east face of Centennial Ridge and FR338. In addition, signs of instability, such as shooting cracks, were observed on the east face in parts where snow pillowing had occurred.
