Medicine Bow Nordic Ski Patrol
Patrol Log: Saturday, December 18, 1999: J. Smith,
F. Lamb, R. Behounek
Skied the first half of the Libby Creek Loop with Frank Lamb and Rich
Behounek. We determined the snow to be high avalanche danger. Please see Frank's
report for the details.
The back side of Libby Creek, although beautiful, had less than adequate
ski base; lots of rocks. Frank noticed the snow slumped at one point.
My car count: No cars at Little Laramie Trail Head at 10 am.
28 cars at 10 am at Greenrock of which 3 were skiers.
Snow stake: 17 inches on arrival, 17.75 inches at 2 pm.
